Within the framework of the EU-funded “Local Development Programme along the Litani River Basin- LRB”, the Economic and Social Fund for Development- ESFD launched the second phase of the accelerated vocational training for youth with the technical support of CNAM University, Eurecna and IP center.
Ten groups of trainees are participating in this training in the following specialties:
Designated training sessions are implemented in close cooperation with the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in 8 affiliated institutes located along the Litani River Basin in Abbassiya-Tyre, Nabatieh-Shaqif, Al-Khiara, Qab Elias, Zahle and Baalbek.
This training targeting 180 students and school dropouts, combines occupational skills, soft skills and an internship program. It enables the trainees to receive internationally accredited certificates, increasing their chances for employment opportunities and empowering them to initiate their own businesses.
